Position Title:        CARE Center Navigator
Supervisor:            PT CARE Center Manager
Location:                CARE Center
Work Schedule:     24 hrs each week (with varied days)

Summary:  The CARE Center Navigator will primarily be responsible for the ongoing assessment of clients with continued follow up to be sure he/she reaches their individual goals. The CARE Center Navigator will work with Tampa Bay Information Network (TBIN) to open and close all client cases, provide goal setting and assessment of client needs, to include the management and supervision of all support staff within the CARE Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Assessment of client’s needs as they come in the door.
•    Set goals and perform follow-up and assist with training support staff.
•    Provide assistance and supervision of volunteers.
•    Monitor clients in dining and courtyard areas and monitoring of cleanliness in dining area/lounge.
•    Assist clients with varying needs, i.e. general information, housing, apartment searching, veteran assistance, and referrals.
•    Provide assistance with restroom access, showers, bus passes, environmental respite and use of a phone.
•    Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
•    Level II Background Screening and Pre-Employment Drug Screen required.
•    Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
•    This position requires a high school diploma, or GED equivalent.
•    Some experience working with the homeless population preferred, but not required.
•    Able to speak, write and understand English. 
•    Possess basic computer skills.

Position Title:          SSVF Administrative Assistant
Supervisor:              SSVF Program Manager

SUMMARY: The SSVF Administrative Assistant provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies. This position will also provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying to management of all projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Maintain an electronic and hard copy filing system
•    Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
•    Perform data entry and scan documents
•    Manage the calendar for Program Manager when necessary
•    Assist in resolving any administrative problems
•    Assist with answering questions from customers/public regarding SSVF services
•    Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
•    Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for Managers

Position Title:       Third Key Manager Assistant
Supervisor:            Thrift Store Manager
Location:                Thrift Store
Work Schedule:     40 Hours/week

SUMMARY: The Third Key Manager position provides support for various departments in the Thrift Store which provides clothing, household goods and furniture to needy individuals and families to the District Council’s 11 Conferences. This position will also provide back support to the General Manager and Assistant Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Support the Thrift Store in the absence of the Thrift Store Manager
•    Assist intake of donated merchandise and cashier when needed
•    Provide assistance in sorting, pricing, and hanging clothes
•    Help assign duties to Community Services/Volunteers
•    Attend all mandatory staff meetings requested by upper management
•    Perform all other tasks assigned by the General Manager

Position Title: PT Utility Worker

Supervisor: Food Center Manager

Location: Food Center

Work Schedule: 24 hrs each week (with varied days)

Summary: The Utility Worker provides backup and support to the Sous Chef/Assistant Manager with cleaning kitchen equipment and appliances used in preparation of meals for clients of the Center of Hope

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Wash Dishes

· Clean kitchen equipment and appliances

· Assist in inventory of food and supplies to assure freezers and pantries are amply stocked

· Assist in unloading food and supplies from trucks

· Help properly store purchased and donated foods in freezers and pantries

· Assist in the rotation of perishable foods in a "first-in-first-out" basis

· Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in complying with all food service standards and regulations established by federal, state, county or local agencies

· Ability to clean and organize work area

· Able to work in fast pace environment

· Possess strong work ethics

· Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening

· Valid Florida driver’s license if driving an agency vehicle or a personal vehicle for company business

· Must have reliable transportation

· Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Position Title:        Overnight Shelter Specialist (Intake Specialist)
Supervisor:            CARE Center Manager
Location:                CARE Center -Pinellas
Work Schedule:     40 hrs each week (with varied days)

            
SUMMARY:  The Intake Specialist performs various duties relative to the admission, stay and discharge of clients of the Night Shelter, open seven nights a week, 365 nights a year, for homeless men and women.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Register all new clients between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., using intake forms and later input the demographics into the Tampa Bay Information Network (TBIN) used to generate reports to the City and County and to share with other agencies
•    Make sure new folder forums are printed and available for new intakes, preform nightly audits of client folders to ensure that they are completed and updated as necessary
•    Help Navigators set attainable goals and monitor progress of clients
•    Provide assistance with the management of  client volunteers
•    Communicate with navigators and management to assist client’s length of stay and make sure bed lists are accurate nightly
•    Use of Tampa Bay Information Network (TBIN) in assessing needs of clients and entering data
•    Follow up and evaluation on progress of clients then report to management on client progression
•    Work with volunteers to make sure showers and laundry areas are functional and clean
•    Making ID badges for new clients and replacements as needed
•    Walk through the dormitory and courtyard at intervals and perform security checks

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Title:           Case Manager III-Rapid Rehousing
Supervisor:              Director COH/CARE/RRH        
Location:                  RRH- Clearwater
Work Schedule:       Full Time
     

SUMMARY: The Case Manager provides assessment, monitoring, planning, linkage and advocacy for the most appropriate services for individuals and families enrolled in rapid rehousing services so they may access permanent housing and achieve housing stability. Qualified candidate must possess a clear understanding of the service delivery system and the resources available for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Screening households to determine and document eligibility.
•    Assessment of the individual and other family members of their strengths, needs, abilities and preferences to assist in the development of housing goals.
•    Developing a Housing Stability Plan, addressing crisis intervention, potential barriers, housing identification, move-in, self-sufficiency and budget for each household within one week of entry into program.
•    Monitor progress daily and maintain accurate documentation of progress towards goals and services provided.
•    Work directly with Coordinated Entry System.
•    Providing referrals and facilitating access to services and community resources as needed.
•    Providing on-going risk assessment and safety planning.
•    Conduct home visits.
•    Responsible for collecting all necessary documentation for client files according to established guidelines.
•    Process requests for rental assistance, application fees and other forms of assistance.
•    Utilize HMIS and coordinate with the Coordinated Entry System.
•    Attends regular meetings of RRH providers.
•    Adheres to countywide RRH policies and procedures.
•    All other duties as assigned.

•    This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
•    Minimum two years’ experience serving homeless or at-risk families and/or individuals in crisis.
•    Must be familiar with a multitude of wrap around services and providers within the CoC.
•    Must be able to comply with complex governmental regulations, policies and procedures and demonstrate thorough document compliance efforts and activities.
•    Must be proficient with data management and information systems and have basic knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
•    Must be expert in RRH Standards.

Position Title:        Maintenance Tech
Supervisor:           Plant Operations Manager

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician performs various tasks that contribute to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the District Council's properties including the District Office, Food Center, CARE Center, Center of Hope, Thrift Store and their adjacent grounds and provides support to the Plant Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•    Assist and provide back up to the Plant Operations Manager in ensuring that each and every building is operating at maximum efficiency and is safe and secure for employees, volunteers, clients and visitors
•    Use a broad spectrum of skills covering such trades as carpentry, plumbing, roofing, air conditioning, electrical, painting in his day-to-day activities
•    Undertake special maintenance projects in the Food Center, Center of Hope, Thrift Store and District Office as directed
•    Help keep the Center of Hope's client rooms in good order by repainting, repairing and/or readying rooms for new admissions while seeing to other maintenance issues in rooms of existing clients
