Position Title: Third Key Manager Assistant

Supervisor: Thrift Store Manager

Location: Thrift Store

Work Schedule: 40 Hours/week

SUMMARY: The Third Key Manager position provides support for various departments in the Thrift Store which provides clothing, household goods and furniture to needy individuals and families to the District Council’s 11 Conferences. This position will also provide back support to the General Manager and Assistant Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Support the Thrift Store in the absence of the Thrift Store Manager

* Assist intake of donated merchandise and cashier when needed

* Provide assistance in sorting, pricing, and hanging clothes

* Help assign duties to Community Services/Volunteers

* Attend all mandatory staff meetings requested by upper management

* Perform all other tasks assigned by the General Manager

* Level II Background Screening and Pre-Employment Drug Screen required.

* Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* This position requires a high school diploma, or GED equivalent and basic computer skills.

* Must have flexibility with work schedule, as this position provides back up support

* Some vocational courses in retail

* At least two to three years in the retail environment

Position Title: Case Manager III

Supervisor: Program Manager

Location: Clearwater, FL

Work Schedule: Full Time

SUMMARY: The Case Manager III provides assessment, monitoring, planning, linkage and advocacy for the most appropriate services to individuals enrolled in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program. Qualified candidate must possess a clear understanding of the service delivery system and the resources available for veterans and their families. Individual will effectively maintain and manage assigned caseload contingent on needs, strengths, abilities, and preferences of the individual served

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide crisis intervention to address the immediate needs of the very low-income, chronic and non-chronic homeless veteran population

* Assess the individual's strengths, needs, abilities and preferences to assist in the development of housing goals

* Design and carry out a Housing Stability Plan for each household

* Monitor progress daily and maintain accurate documentation of progress towards goals and services provided

* Enforce program rules and procedures to ensure compliance with all government and contract regulations

* Facilitate the move to transitional and/or permanent, independent housing, when appropriate.

* Utilize HSMIS for data collection/case record

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES:

* This position requires a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field

* Minimum two years’ experience serving homeless or at-risk families and/or individuals in crisis

* Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

* Basic knowledge of resources in the community available for veteran population, especially services and programs offered by the VA

* Ability to form partnerships in the community and seek out community resources


Position Title: Case Manager II - COH

Supervisor: Director-COH & CARE Center

Location: COH

Work Schedule: Full Time

Summary: The Case Manager II will provide specialized case management to veterans recovering from chronic, severe and multiple problems such as substance abuse and/or mental illnesses and develops and implementing supportive services and programs to assist clients in achieving greater self-determination, self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

Position Title: FT Dishwasher

Supervisor: Executive Chef – Food Center

Location: COH

Work Schedule: Full Time

Summary - Our Dishwasher provides backup and support to the Food Center with cleaning kitchen equipment and appliances used in preparation of meals for clients of the Center of Hope

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Wash Dishes

* Clean kitchen equipment and appliances

* Assist in inventory of food and supplies to assure freezers and pantries are amply stocked

* Assist in unloading food and supplies from trucks

* Help properly store purchased and donated foods in freezers and pantries

* Assist in the rotation of perishable foods in a "first-in-first-out" basis

* Assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in complying with all food service standards and regulations established by federal, state, county or local agencies

* Ability to clean and organize work area

* Able to work in fast pace environment

* Possess strong work ethics

* Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening

* Must have reliable transportation.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Position Title: POD Attendant – FT & PT

Supervisor: Manager- CARE Center

Location: COH

Work Schedule: Full Time and Part Time Shifts Available

Summary: The POD Attendant mans the trailer positioned on St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. property that holds 260 individual bins used by homeless persons to store their personal belongings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist clients in placing in or getting out their personal property from their assigned bins from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week

* Maintain a log in TBIN and Access that shows when clients puts in or takes out his/her property

* Have all new clients sign waiver forms that hold SVdPSP and the City of St. Petersburg harmless from any damage to or loss of their property while in storage

* Use the log to document the day of activity and report all those whose property has not been touched for a 30-days-or-more period, after which it is considered "abandoned" and transferred by the City to one of its facilities where it is kept another 30 days and then discarded

* Work schedule does include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

* Level II Background Screening and Pre-Employment Drug Screen required.

* Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening.

Position Title: Maintenance Tech

Supervisor: Plant Operations Manager

Location: Plant Operations

Work Schedule: Full Time

SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician performs various tasks that contribute to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the District Council's properties including the District Office, Food Center, CARE Center, Center of Hope, Thrift Store and their adjacent grounds and provides support to the Plant Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist and provide back up to the Plant Operations Manager in ensuring that each and every building is operating at maximum efficiency and is safe and secure for employees, volunteers, clients and visitors

* Use a broad spectrum of skills covering such trades as carpentry, plumbing, roofing, air conditioning, electrical, painting in his day-to-day activities

* Undertake special maintenance projects in the Food Center, Center of Hope, Thrift Store and District Office as directed

* Help keep the Center of Hope's client rooms in good order by repainting, repairing and/or readying rooms for new admissions while seeing to other maintenance issues in rooms of existing clients

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* Complies with all applicable training requirements

* Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures

* Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs

Position Title: CARE Center Navigator

Supervisor: CARE Center Manager

Location: CARE Center

Work Schedule: 40 hrs each week (with varied days)

Summary: The CARE Center Navigator will primarily be responsible for the ongoing assessment of clients with continued follow up to be sure he/she reaches their individual goals. The CARE Center Navigator will work with Tampa Bay Information Network (TBIN) to open and close all client cases, provide goal setting and assessment of client needs, to include the management and supervision of all support staff within the CARE Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assessment of client’s needs as they come in the door.

* Set goals and perform follow-up and assist with training support staff.

* Provide assistance and supervision of volunteers.

* Monitor clients in dining and courtyard areas and monitoring of cleanliness in dining area/lounge.

* Assist clients with varying needs, i.e. general information, housing, apartment searching, veteran assistance, and referrals.

* Provide assistance with restroom access, showers, bus passes, environmental respite and use of a phone.

* Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

* Level II Background Screening and Pre-Employment Drug Screen required.

* Successfully pass Law Enforcement background screening.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* This position requires a high school diploma, or GED equivalent.

* Some experience working with the homeless population preferred, but not required.

Position Title: Housing Specialist/Navigator-Rapid Rehousing

Supervisor: Director COH/CARE/RRH

Location: RRH - Clearwater

Work Schedule: Full Time

SUMMARY: The Housing Specialist I shall provide direct services to enable eligible clients to locate affordable, safe and sanitary housing. The Housing Specialist will network with owners and managers of housing units, and maintain a list of landlords that can readily assist our clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for identifying and engaging landlords through a variety of methods in order to develop a sufficient affordable housing stock for a successful RRH program.

* Assists eligible families in locating and renting suitable housing; computing and preparing financing arrangements and monitoring owner/tenant compliance with standards.

* Maintain linkage between Agency, landlord and client.

* Develop and maintain (i.e., update) a database/listing of available housing stock for clients.

* Coordinate with other HS/N within CoC to develop a “master list”.

* Responsible for coordinating and/or performing Housing Inspection.

* Makes referrals to agencies and departments for the resolution of applicant housing issues.

* Investigates tenant and owner complaints and conducts follow-up visits.

* Makes appropriate referrals for assistance when client’s needs cannot be met.

* Work directly with the Coordinated Entry System.

* Networks and collaborates with other agencies and represents the agency at community functions, which may include public speaking and presentations as directed by Program Manager.

* Maintains required client, legal and administrative record and statistical data as required by SVdPSP and program funders including use of HMIS.

* Responsible for locating and reaching out to potential RRH clients.

* Responsible for collecting all necessary documentation for client files according to established guidelines.

* Adheres to Countywide RRH Policies and procedures.

* Attends regular meetings of RRH providers

* Ability to enter, maintain and update all service records in the Tampa Bay Information Network (TBIN)

* All Other duties as assigned.

Position Title: PT Line Cook

Supervisor: Executive Chef

Location: Food Center

SUMMARY: The Line Cook provides back up and support to the Sous Chef in preparing and serving two free meals a day, 365 days a year, to the hungry and homeless and in the catering of meals for clients of the Center of Hope.

* Prepare and serve meals

Position Title: Overnight Shelter Specialist (Intake Monitor Specialist)

Supervisor: CARE Center Manager

Location: CARE Center -Pinellas

Work Schedule: Wed-Sat – Overnight – PM to AM

SUMMARY: The Intake Monitor Specialist performs various duties relative to the admission, stay, discharge of clients, and provide security for Courtyard and shelter clients. This role will work with Pinellas Homeless Management Information System (PHMIS) to track client’s stays with bed lists. Shelter staff admit up to 120 homeless men and women who sleep 70 in the Food Center dining area-turned "dormitory" and 50 in outside Courtyard area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Check-in all clients between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., input all data from daily intake client files into Pinellas Homeless Management Information System (PHMIS) used to generate reports to the City and County and to share with other agencies

* Make sure new folder forums are printed and available for next day, preform nightly audits of client folders to ensure that they are completed and updated as necessary

* Provide Security and support for Care Center Clients

* Perform multiple security checks of Courtyard and surrounding areas throughout the shift

* Complete necessary paperwork including incident reports, maintenance requests, and contact supervisor for all necessary instances

* Call police and or medical ambulance as incidents occur

* Making ID badges for new clients and replacements as needed
