Position Title: Thrift Store Donation Processor

Supervisor: Thrift Store Manager

Location: Thrift Store

Work Schedule: 40 hours each week (with varied days)

Summary: The Donation Processor is in charge of the receiving area in the rear of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store which provides clothing, household goods and furniture to needy individuals and families.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Open back gates at 10 a.m. and close gates at 5 p.m., locking gates and trash bin

* Greet donors and accept their donations, thanking them and giving them a receipt acknowledging their donations

* Assist in pick-up of recycled clothing and shoes

* Tag usable items for sale, price them and place them on racks and/or transfer them to the sales floor

* Place soiled and/or unusable clothing in the proper area for discard

* Maintain order, neatness and cleanliness of sales floor

* Keep the receiving area as clean and neat as possible

* Assist truck personnel in unloading lighter items from the truck

* Assist with loading furniture, providing materials for clients to secure items

* Perform other duties that are assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager

* This position works 40 hours a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with days determined by the Manager.

* Level II Background Screening and Pre-Employment Drug Screen required.

Position Title: PT CARE Center Navigator

Supervisor: CARE Center Manager

Location: CARE Center

Work Schedule: 24 hrs each week (with varied days)

Summary: The CARE Center Navigator will primarily be responsible for the ongoing assessment of clients with continued follow up to be sure he/she reaches their individual goals. The CARE Center Navigator will work with Tampa Bay Information Network (TBIN) to open and close all client cases, provide goal setting and assessment of client needs, to include the management and supervision of all support staff within the CARE Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assessment of client’s needs as they come in the door.

* Set goals and perform follow-up and assist with training support staff.

* Provide assistance and supervision of volunteers.

* Monitor clients in dining and courtyard areas and monitoring of cleanliness in dining area/lounge.

* Assist clients with varying needs, i.e. general information, housing, apartment searching, veteran assistance, and referrals.

* Provide assistance with restroom access, showers, bus passes, environmental respite and use of a phone.

Position Title: Controller

Supervisor: Chief Financial Officer

Location: District Office

Work Schedule: Full Time

SUMMARY: The Controller is responsible for a broad spectrum of accounting functions and business practices that relate to the financial integrity of the District Office and its multiple operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Establish practices and procedures that ensure accurate financial data and reporting for all business operations and will maintain, update and retain all records in a secure manner

* Make daily bank deposits, transfer funds between banks, reconcile statements and post transactions to journals, ledgers and other documents

* Prepare all purchase orders, provide them to the Chief Executive Officer for signature with back-up material and/or explanations and maintain a log of orders for future reference

* Review accounts payable invoices, compare to purchase orders, prepare checks for signatures and remit payment in a timely manner

* Provide financial data needed for various grant applications and submit documentation "packages" to funding agencies with reimbursement requests

* Assist Department Heads with the preparation of Annual Budgets, provide them with monthly statements, comparing month-to-month, year-to-date actuals versus budget

* Prepare annual renewal applications for property, casualty and financial lines of insurance

* Prepare special reports, documents, and records as needed for each Department

* Prepare monthly Financial Statements for the Finance Committee and Board

* Provide all information required for the Annual Audit

* Attend mandatory staff meetings of the Chief Executive Officer

* Actively participate in the PQI System

Position Title: Thrift Store Cashier – (Part Time)

Summary: The Cashier is the principal recipient of cash and credit card payments for merchandise sold to customers of the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. This position will operate the register in providing clothing, household goods and furniture to needy individuals and families of the District Council's 11 Conferences.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Greet customers as they enter the store and again when they are ready to check out

* Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate parties

* Ring individual items on the cash register, accept payment, make proper change, and accurately fill out credit cards which must be accompanied by a picture ID. Provide a receipt to every customer and bag their purchases

* Assist customers with directions to various "departments" and answer their questions.

* Maintain a clean, neat work area

* Help enforce all store policies as outlined in the store's "Ten Commandments of Service" posted at check-out counter

Position Title: Sous Chef

Supervisor: Executive Chef

Location: Food Center

SUMMARY: The Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in the management of the day-to-day operations of the Food Center, which prepares and serves three free meals a day, 365 days a year, to the hungry and homeless; provides opportunities for them to have daily showers and obtain clean clothes through the Personal Hygiene Programs and caters meals for the clients of the Center of Hope.

* Day-to-day supervision of the Food Center personnel and tutor them in various aspects of food preparation and service

* Assist the Executive Chef in developing menus

* Comply with all standards and regulations regarding food service established by federal, state, county and local agencies

* Assist the Executive Chef with purchasing of goods

* Supervise cooks and volunteers in the preparation and serving of meals

* Help fulfill food vouchers for needy clients referred by the District Office and SVdP Conferences

Position Title: Overnight Shelter Specialist (Intake Monitor Specialist)

Supervisor: CARE Center Manager

Location: CARE Center -Pinellas

Work Schedule: Wed-Sat – Overnight – PM to AM

SUMMARY: The Intake Monitor Specialist performs various duties relative to the admission, stay, discharge of clients, and provide security for Courtyard and shelter clients. This role will work with Pinellas Homeless Management Information System (PHMIS) to track client’s stays with bed lists. Shelter staff admit up to 120 homeless men and women who sleep 70 in the Food Center dining area-turned "dormitory" and 50 in outside Courtyard area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Check-in all clients between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., input all data from daily intake client files into Pinellas Homeless Management Information System (PHMIS) used to generate reports to the City and County and to share with other agencies

* Make sure new folder forums are printed and available for next day, preform nightly audits of client folders to ensure that they are completed and updated as necessary

* Provide Security and support for Care Center Clients

* Perform multiple security checks of Courtyard and surrounding areas throughout the shift

* Complete necessary paperwork including incident reports, maintenance requests, and contact supervisor for all necessary instances

* Call police and or medical ambulance as incidents occur

* Making ID badges for new clients and replacements as needed

Position Title: POD Attendant

Supervisor: CARE Center Manager

Location: CARE Center

Work Schedule: 32-35 hrs each week (with varied hours/days)

Summary: The POD Attendant mans the trailer positioned on St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. property that holds 260 individual bins used by homeless persons to store their personal belongings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist clients in placing in or getting out their personal property from their assigned bins from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week

* Maintain a log in TBIN and Access that shows when clients puts in or takes out his/her property

* Have all new clients sign waiver forms that hold SVdPSP and the City of St. Petersburg harmless from any damage to or loss of their property while in storage

* Use the log to document the day of activity and report all those whose property has not been touched for a 30-days-or-more period, after which it is considered "abandoned" and transferred by the City to one of its facilities where it is kept another 30 days and then discarded

* Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Position Title: Case Manager III - Clearwater

SUMMARY: The Case Manager III provides assessment, monitoring, planning, linkage and advocacy for the most appropriate services to individuals enrolled in the Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program. * Monitor progress daily and maintain accurate documentation of progress towards goals and services provided

* Enforce program rules and procedures to ensure compliance with all government and contract regulations

* Facilitate the move to transitional and/or permanent, independent housing, when appropriate.

* Utilize HSMIS for data collection/case record

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES:

* This position requires a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field

Position Title: Housing Specialist/Navigator-Rapid Rehousing

Supervisor: Director COH/CARE/RRH

Location: RRH - Clearwater

Work Schedule: Full Time

SUMMARY: The Housing Specialist I shall provide direct services to enable eligible clients to locate affordable, safe and sanitary housing. The Housing Specialist will network with owners and managers of housing units, and maintain a list of landlords that can readily assist our clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for identifying and engaging landlords through a variety of methods in order to develop a sufficient affordable housing stock for a successful RRH program.

· Assists eligible families in locating and renting suitable housing; computing and preparing financing arrangements and monitoring owner/tenant compliance with standards.

· Maintain linkage between Agency, landlord and client.

· Develop and maintain (i.e., update) a database/listing of available housing stock for clients.

· Coordinate with other HS/N within CoC to develop a “master list”.

· Responsible for coordinating and/or performing Housing Inspection.

· Makes referrals to agencies and departments for the resolution of applicant housing issues.

· Investigates tenant and owner complaints and conducts follow-up visits.

· Makes appropriate referrals for assistance when client’s needs cannot be met.

· Work directly with the Coordinated Entry System.

· Networks and collaborates with other agencies and represents the agency at community functions, which may include public speaking and presentations as directed by Program Manager.

· Maintains required client, legal and administrative record and statistical data as required by SVdPSP and program funders including use of HMIS.

· Responsible for locating and reaching out to potential RRH clients.

· Responsible for collecting all necessary documentation for client files according to established guidelines.

Position Title: Housekeeper

Supervisor: Plant Operations Director

Work Schedule: Full Time

Summary: The Housekeeper performs various chores that contribute to the upkeep and cleanliness of the Center of Hope which provides veterans and non-veterans who may be recovering from substance abuse and/or mental illnesses, treatment, supportive services and programs to assist clients in achieving greater self-determination, self-sufficiency and permanent housing.

· Clean offices, lounges, corridors, hallways, stairwells, kitchenettes and laundry rooms and other work spaces of the COH.

· Sweep and mop floors

· Vacuum carpets

· Clean glass doors, including those in emergency exits

· Clean windows

· Dust blinds

· Monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements

· Clean in CARE Center as needed

· All work should be performed according to standards

· Complies with all applicable training requirementsComplies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures

· Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs.

· Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Must have flexibility with work hours

· Must have knowledge of stripping and waxing floors

· Utilize proper safety precautions and at all times

This position requires a high school diploma, or GED equivalent
