Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

HIPPA Privacy

All programs of St. Vincent de Paul CARES have policies and procedures in place to safeguard your confidential information. All employees receive privacy training and adhere to strict guidelines. In addition, SVdP CARES has physical and electronic safeguards in place to protect your information.

SVdP CARES keeps both a written and electronic record of your information. While the information in your record belongs to you, the record itself belongs to SVdP CARES. Your record may be shared without your permission for the purposes of treatment, payment, Health Center operations, or as required by law. All other disclosures of your information require your written authorization.

You have the right to inspect your record and the right to request a change if you feel information is incorrect tor incomplete. Also, you have the right to ask for restrictions on who may access your record, limits on how you are contacted by SVdP CARES, and a list of releases of your information. These requests must be written and directed to the Privacy Officer.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the St. Vincent de Paul CARES website. On some pages, you may request volunteer information or make various types of donations. The types of personal information we may collect are: Name, Address, Email Address, Phone Number and Credit/Debit Card Information, if making online financial donations.  Secure online donations may be made in online through our website. 

The Way We Use Information

We do not share your information with outside parties. We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with potential benefactors or event partners. For example, we may tell a partner that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we do not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, all employees receive privacy training and adhere to strict guidelines. In addition, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Our Commitment to Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of our youth is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 18 years of age, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 18 years of age.
