St. Vincent de Paul CARES Programs

Our Work

All SVdP CARES programs and services are built on the belief that everyone has the right to live in dignified and affordable housing.

With “Housing First” principles at the core, we have a healthy disregard for all community perceived barriers to housing including employment history, criminal/credit background, mental health, addiction, or religious practices.

SVdP CARES works to rapidly house those experiencing homelessness within 30 days and concurrently connect them to stabilization support services to assist their needs.

Homeless Services

SVdP CARES services are open to those in need of a hand-up. This includes services offered within the Food Center, CARE Center, and Center of Hope shelters.

Housing Programs

For those looking to transition to permanent and stable housing, we offer programs for both individuals and families battling homelessness.

Veteran Programs

SVdP CARES was first funded in 2012 by the US Department of Veteran Affairs to provide services for Veterans in Pinellas County and serves thousands of homeless and at-risk Veterans each year.

Community Thrift Store

Our Community Thrift Store is a social enterprise that benefits the programs and individuals we serve in the local community.

Help Reach Even More People

SVdP CARES connects clients 365 days a year to life sustaining resources that improve access to employment, health, and financial stability.
