A Message of Resilience & Renewal this Easter

A Message of Resilience and Renewal This Easter

Across our community, many families, individuals, and U.S. Veterans are working through the challenges of housing insecurity. Each situation is different, but they share a common need: stability, support, and the opportunity to rebuild with dignity.

Your support helps make that possible. This Easter season, your generosity fuels programs that guide families toward safe housing and a more hopeful future.

Yes, Michael!

I want to give back to veteran families facing their own battles with housing insecurity. I want to bring hope and help build pathways to stability.

Natarsha’s Path Forward

In May 2024, a series of unexpected events left my family without housing and without transportation. Overnight, the routines, comforts, and stability we knew were suddenly gone. It was a difficult moment, and the path forward wasn’t immediately clear.

Still, I was determined to move ahead for my children. Just weeks later, I began nursing school while working and coordinating safe places for my children to stay with family. It wasn’t easy, but the encouragement of friends, relatives, and my own faith helped me stay focused on our future.

A friend temporarily shared his vehicle so I could get to work and school. My sister welcomed me into her home, even though the commute was long. There were challenges, long nights, and moments of uncertainty, but every step reminded me of the strength that comes from community and perseverance.

While finishing nursing school, my family experienced another personal loss. Even in grief, I stayed committed to completing my education. In June 2025, I earned my degree — an important milestone in rebuilding stability for my children.

Finding permanent housing after graduation was another hurdle. That’s when St. Vincent de Paul CARES stepped in. Through the support of their team, including the compassionate guidance of Mrs. Pamela and Mrs. Tangela, my family finally secured a safe place to call home.

Today, I’m grateful — not because the journey was easy, but because it was supported. I gained resilience, purpose, and the foundation my family needed to begin again.

Your Support Builds Pathways to Stability

When you contribute to St. Vincent de Paul CARES, you help provide housing-focused programs and supportive services that empower families like mine. Your generosity helps create opportunities, restore stability, and open doors to brighter futures.

Sincerely,

St. Vincent de Paul CARES

Michael Raposa
CEO, SVdP CARES

P.S. Many families, individuals, and U.S. Veterans in our community are still working toward stable housing. Your support this Easter helps make that journey possible.

Your Support Helps Families Find Stability.

Together, we can create pathways to secure housing for families, individuals, and Veterans. Give today and help make brighter futures possible.
