Click here to fill out the Community Service Request form and someone will get back to you shortly.

What are the age limits for volunteering with SVdP CARES?

Individuals must be 18 or older to volunteer at the Food Center.

Individuals who are 16 or older may volunteer by themselves at the Community Thrift Store.

Individuals who are 14 or 15 may volunteer with their parental guardian at the Community Thrift Store.

Can my child volunteer with SVdP CARES to fulfill their Bright Futures Volunteer hours?

Absolutely! SVdP CARES records all volunteer hours and can send copies of them and/or sign any required forms.

I am only here part of the year, can I still volunteer?

Yes! You are always welcome to volunteer at the Community Thrift Store and SVdP CARES updates the website regularly with options for seasonal volunteering at the Food Center!

My company/organization wants to have a day of volunteering. How would we do this with SVdP CARES?

SVdP CARES frequently takes groups of under 15 for volunteering at the Community Thrift Store, if scheduled in advance.

SVdP CARES also occasionally has larger projects that would accommodate more than 15 people such as lawn work or painting.

Please fill out the volunteer request form or you can email the Volunteer and Event Coordinator directly at carol@svdp.care.

What is the criteria needed to volunteer?

St. Vincent de Paul CARES reserves the right to conduct a background screening for all volunteers.

Because you will be working among our clients and/or customers, we will require some basic information about you, which assures the best possible program and safety for all.
