Veteran Programs

SVdP CARES was first funded in 2012 by the US Department of Veteran Affairs to provide services for Veterans in Pinellas County and serves thousands of homeless and at-risk Veterans each year.

SVdP CARES serves Veterans in 22 counties throughout Florida, including: Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, and Sumter counties.

Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF)

Designed to rapidly rehouse Veterans and their families experiencing homelessness and to prevent homelessness for those at imminent risk due to a housing crisis.

SSG Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Program

While most of our programs work with homeless individuals, families, and Veterans, we are a proud recipient of this grant that supports suicide prevention efforts for both homeless and non-homeless Veterans, active duty military, and their families.

Shallow Subsidy Program

Provides housing assistance to Veterans and Veteran families with low to extremely low income. SSP offers more modest rental support over a longer period rather than the traditional Rapid Rehousing and Homeless Prevention programs.

Grant Per Diem (GPD) Program

The GPD Case Management Program provides housing-based and community support for Veterans to help identify, obtain, sustain, and retain permanent housing.
