Across Charlotte County, many families, individuals, and U.S. Veterans are working through the challenges of housing insecurity. While each situation is unique, they share a common need: stability, support, and the opportunity to rebuild with dignity.
At the Charlotte County CARE Center, we are committed to helping our neighbors find a safe place to call home and the resources they need to move forward with confidence.
This Easter season, your generosity strengthens the programs that guide local families and Veterans toward secure housing and a brighter future.

I Want to Support Veterans and Families in Charlotte County.
My contribution today helps create real, lasting change for people working hard to regain stability.
Natarsha’s Journey Toward a Fresh Start
In May 2024, a string of unexpected challenges left my family without both housing and transportation. Almost overnight, everything familiar — our routines, our space, our stability — was gone. It was overwhelming, and the next steps weren’t immediately clear.
But for my children, I knew I had to keep moving forward.
Within weeks, I enrolled in nursing school while working and coordinating safe temporary stays for my kids with family. It wasn’t easy, but encouragement from friends, loved ones, and my faith helped me stay focused on our future.
A family friend shared his vehicle so I could get to work and attend school. My sister opened her home to me, even though it meant long, exhausting commutes. There were tough nights and moments of uncertainty, but there were also powerful reminders of resilience and community.
During my final stretch of schooling, our family experienced a personal loss. Even in grief, I held onto my goal: to finish my education so I could build stability for my children.

In June 2025, I proudly earned my nursing degree — an important step in rebuilding our foundation.
Finding stable housing after graduation became the next challenge. That’s when St. Vincent de Paul CARES stepped in. Thanks to the guidance and support of team members like Mrs. Pamela and Mrs. Tangela, my family finally secured a safe home.
Today, I’m grateful — not because the journey was easy, but because it was supported. I gained resilience, purpose, and the foundation my family needed to begin again.
