All Jasmine wanted was a place to raise her little girl…

Jasmine was homeless when the pandemic hit. Suddenly everything in her world was shut down: businesses, schools, even churches. At her lowest point, Jasmine was sheltering in an RV with no power or running water. Then she found out she was pregnant…

How could she protect this precious new life when she could barely care for herself?

Thanks to generous supporters, one thing didn’t shut down: St. Vincent de Paul CARES. Our light shone brightly for Jasmine to find the support she…and her newborn daughter . . . needed.

This spring, hundreds of individuals and families face a market that puts even the most “affordable” housing out of their reach. Supporters helped SVdP CARES serve almost 2,500 people last year through our Rapid Rehousing Program.

After everything she had been through, Jasmine felt relieved, grateful, and tremendously blessed to have a home where she could raise her little girl.

I have been able to see a bigger and brighter future for me and my daughter.

Now working full time and hoping to earn her GED, Jasmine is embracing that bright future. “I never had a place of my own before,” she says, “and SVdP CARES was there every step of the way.”

Without the care of supporters and donors, Jasmine might still be searching for a place to sleep every night…and her daughter would be in foster care.

But there is hope and help for so many stuck on the dark side of life, thanks to SVdP CARES and you.

Your gifts provide a home for those without one, along with the support a person needs to build a stable, productive life. Our case managers secure a path for neighbors like Jasmine to stay housed well into the future—by providing assistance with jobs, rent, clothing, and other basic needs until they are settled, and a plan to stay settled.

Working with Jasmine has been a pleasure. She has proven that she wants a better life for herlself and her daughter…she is a go getter and a true champion!

Offer a Bigger and Brighter Future to
Neighbors in Need

Especially now, when many of us are feeling the pinch of higher prices, a gift to lift up someone in need is a very special blessing. Your generosity is a reflection of Christ’s love in a difficult time. Thank you for caring!
